Ofra Haza... عفراء هزاع

Qui est Ofra Haza ? C'est ma nouvelle Diva...
Née en 1957 à Tel aviv, d'origine yéménite, elle devient dans les années 80 très populaire en israel, est désignée comme représentante à l'Eurovision, avant d'embrasser une carrière internationale après le succès phénoménal de Yemenite Songs et Desert Wind.
Malheureusement, elle mourut d'une pneumonie en 2000, affaiblie par le VIH.
D'abord, c'était une reprise de Cheb i Sabbah, sur le titre Im Nin'alu avec la voix de Michal Cohen (exellent), ensuite la version de l'album Shaday qui a conservé le sommet des charts musicaux occidentaux durant de longues semaines. Au début je n'ai pas aimé, et petit à petit je fût envouté, je devais chercher d'autres titres pour ne plus me le passer en boucle. En découvrant une partie de son œuvre, j'ai découvert une diva, des chansons sublimes, l'agréable surprise d'entendre l'arabe mêlé d'hébreu et le contraire, ces chansons en français :p ... je l'aime.
En hébreu עפרה חזה donne هازا عفرى. Mais il semble qu’elle soit connue comme عفراء هزاع uniquement !
